Ondjamba Herberg is a homely bed and breakfast, nestled under
shady acacia trees in the beautiful town of Omaruru. When on
your way to or from the north of Namibia, do yourself a favor
and stop over for the night at our place. Omaruru is
surrounded by some great game lodges, and have also enough "must visit"
or "must do" activities, some only a hour or more
away, to keep you busy.
Start your day with one of our healthy breakfasts,
then take a
leisurely drive through the Erongo Mountains, stopping over for tea
or lunch at one of the game lodges, visit bulls party, Phillips
Cave, or go see the dinosaur tracks near Kalkveld.
Omaruru is a bird watchers paradise with a wide variety of bird
species to be found, or if you like some action, the Omaruru river
bed is an ideal place to test your 4x4 driving skills, Go put
that new 4x4 through its paces, and take the whole family along.
Don't leave before you've checked out what our town has to
offer. Visit Tikoloshe root carving, taste some wine
from Omaruru's own Kristalkeller Winery. If you are
dreaming of making your own biltong,
Omaruru with it's abundance of wildlife, especially kudu is
"biltong węreld" with a few hunting farms only a few
kilometers away, you can make your dream come true.
Then after a day out in the sun, come
back home, relax at our pool and enjoy a cold one. After
enjoying one of our home cook meals, settle down for a night
cap or two before retiring to your room, where you will find fresh
clean accommodation with that home away from home touch.
